EAFF E-1 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The brief: Cover EAFF's bi-annual regional club competition by launching their official social media platforms and utilising live match coverage, bespoke video content, and unique and brand-specific graphic design.
Backheel Media partnered with the East Asian Football Federation to revitalise and/or launch their Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram for the 2022 edition of the E-1 Football Championship.
Content included everything from live on-ground coverage to bite-sized player and coach interviews, to creating the visual aesthetic for the men's and women's tournaments.
Working in both Kashima and Nagoya for the men's and women's editions of the 2022 tournament, we helped EAFF engage with football fans across the globe for the first time on multiple social media channels in the month building up to kick-off, up to the minute match updates, and behind the scenes of the tournament.
MATCH DAY COVERAGE
Our team of team of designers created distinct, but unified branding concepts to distinguish the men's and women's tournaments from each other. Utilising the branding EAFF already had in place, we created customised match day graphics for everything from global kick off times to full-time scores.
While simultaneously honouring the E-1's past in build up coverage, we also celebrated key moments, players, and statistics throughout the tournament with regularly updated infographics.
